Fifteen years of fellowship, service, and friendship.
The Evening Rotary Club of Summerville, SC was officially chartered by Rotary International on May 13, 2010, as the 79th club in District 7770.
A sister club, born of necessity.
In 2010, growing Rotary in greater Charleston meant adding an evening meeting time — for the working folks, the parents, the second-shifters. The Summerville Evening Rotary Club was born as a sister to the long-running Summerville Lunch Club.
Several Rotarian members and officers sponsored, encouraged, and supported the development of this club — to them we owe great thanks.
25 counties. 73 clubs. ~3,500 Rotarians.
The Rotary Districts assist Rotary International in administering more than 34,000 Rotary clubs around the world. Our club is proud to be part of District 7770 — one of the largest and most effective districts, comprising the 25 eastern counties of South Carolina.
District 7770 is known throughout Rotary, and well respected, for the quality results achieved by its members.
15 years, 15 leaders.
Every June, the gavel passes. Each year carries its own theme — the bones of our 15 years.
